At LSKD, our mission is to inspire our community to be 1% better every day. That's why we create high-quality functional sportswear with a street aesthetic to support our community on their journey. We believe the mindset extends beyond fitness—it's about growing personally, professionally, and in every area of life. We are Australian-owned and operated, and while our global HQ proudly calls Logan home, the energy that started it all has grown into a thriving global community united by the pursuit of becoming 1% better.
Retail is where LSKD comes alive, and Retail Operations is the engine that keeps it running. We make sure every community gets a piece of the LSKD vibe, in a way that's smooth, efficient and built to scale. Our stores are the frontline of the brand and the first impression for our community. Our teams bring our values to life every day and create moments people remember long after they've walked out the door. Our job is to give them the systems, structure and support to do that brilliantly, every single time
PURPOSE OF MY ROLE
Picture this: a new store opening on time and on budget, a campaign landing in every store on the same morning, and store teams with the tools and tech to focus on what they do best: our community. That's your work. As our Retail Operations Manager, you'll build and scale the operational engine behind LSKD Retail. You'll lead the strategy, systems, processes and projects that let our stores perform at their best, delivering an exceptional community experience while driving commercial performance. And you'll lead our new store opening program, from first plan to doors open.
You'll lead a small but mighty team of Retail Operations Specialists across Store Operations, Omni & Technology, and Campaigns & Communications, creating the structure, clarity and consistency our stores need to move fast, execute brilliantly and keep getting 1% Better Every Day.
You’ll connect the dots between Retail and HQ, turning big ideas into seamless execution. You’ll spot opportunities, challenge the way we've always done things, and lead the initiatives that make our retail network more efficient and ready to scale as LSKD grows into new markets.
This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who thinks big, gets into the detail when it matters, and backs their team to deliver. If you want to build the engine that powers LSKD Retail in every store, in every market, this is the role.
WHAT I'M HERE TO OWN
- Own and evolve our Retail Operations strategy, so every store has the systems, tools and processes to run smoothly and give our community an exceptional experience.
- Set the standard for how our stores operate, and keep making it simpler, so our teams spend less time on admin and more time with our community.
- Own the Retail Operations budget and partner with Retail Leadership on productivity and costs, helping us hit our EBITDA goals.
- Turn store feedback, data and community insights into clear reporting and smart decisions, and keep the right checks in place for compliance, cash handling, WHS and business continuity.
- Keep our SOPs, operating guides and critical event plans (think store closures and tech outages) up to date, easy to find and ready when we need them.
- Lead projects across the business from start to finish: spot the opportunity, shape the solution, roll it out and make sure it sticks.
- Turn big priorities into clear plans, timelines and success measures, and juggle multiple projects at pace without the store experience missing a beat.
- Bring together our teams across Retail, IT, Marketing, Merchandise, Finance, People & Culture and Store Development, so every solution works for everyone.
- Manage our suppliers, contractors and service providers, and hold them to the same high bar we hold ourselves to.
New Store Openings & Retail Expansion
- Own the Retail Operations side of every New Store Opening (NSO), so each store opens on time, on budget and to the LSKD standard.
- Run the NSO timeline and readiness meetings, pulling together store infrastructure, tech, equipment, campaigns and comms, clearing roadblocks and keeping everyone on track.
- Partner with Retail Leadership, Recruitment and our Retail Learning Partner so new store teams are recruited, trained and ready to build buzz in their local community.
- Learn from every opening to sharpen the NSO playbook, and lay the groundwork as we take LSKD into new regions and markets.
Campaigns, Communications & Retail Execution
- Own the Retail Calendar and lead our campaigns and comms, so stores get the right info, resources and direction at the right time.
- Partner with Marketing, Visual Merchandising and HQ teams so every campaign is doable and lands the same way in every store, with clear guidelines, accurate pricing and the right POS.
- Set the bar for campaign execution, learn from every campaign, and cut the noise so store teams only get what they need.
- Make sure store questions, escalations, maintenance and centre relationships are looked after, so our teams can stay focused on our community.
- Make sure our retail tech and omnichannel tools work hard for our teams and our community, partnering with IT to keep everything reliable and seamless.
- Keep levelling up Ship from Store, Click & Collect, RFID and more, so our stock is accurate and our systems can be trusted.
- Lead system rollouts and testing, so store teams feel ready and confident for every new release.
- Keep the retail network switched on to payment card compliance, cybersecurity risks, scams and phishing.
- Lead, coach and grow our Retail Operations Specialists, with clear priorities, real ownership and opportunities to develop.
- Build a high-performing team that solves problems and is always looking for a better way.
- Be the bridge between strategy and the shop floor, partnering with our National and Regional Retail Leaders and designing every initiative with store teams in mind.
- Model LSKD's values and Leadership Practices and inspire everyone around you to be 1% Better Every Day.
And like everyone at LSKD, back your leader and the broader team wherever the business needs it, because we're all in this together.
