Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service, preferably in food retail or butchery.

• Ability to handle meat products in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with flexibility for weekend/public holiday shifts.

Responsibilities

• Providing excellent customer service, attending to customer enquiries and assisting with product selection and purchases
• Packing and preparing meat products to the highest standards, ensuring proper handling and presentation
• Maintaining a clean, hygienic and well-organised retail space, adhering to all food safety regulations and company standards
• Operating till systems accurately and processing customer transactions securely and efficiently
• Restocking shelves and displays with products, ensuring inventory is well-presented and clearly labelled
• Following all health and safety protocols, including proper food handling procedures and personal hygiene requirements
• Supporting the team during busy periods, working collaboratively to ensure smooth operations
• Assisting with stock management and reporting any issues or discrepancies to management
• Promoting products to customers and contributing to achieving sales targets

• Previous retail or customer service experience, ideally in a food retail or butchery environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage positively with customers and colleagues
• Reliability and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
• Physical capability to handle meat products and work in a fast-paced retail environment
• Ability to work as part of a team and support colleagues during busy trading periods
• Willingness to learn about meat products and develop product knowledge
• Basic numeracy skills and experience operating till systems (preferred)
• Flexibility with working hours, including potential weekend and public holiday shifts
