Job summary

Petstock Group in Melbourne is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager and lead a passionate team in delivering world-class customer service. You’ll mentor staff, drive sales, and maintain store standards in a fun, inclusive culture.

You’ll manage stock, coach team members, and help coordinate local marketing opportunities while fostering safety and a positive in-store vibe that keeps customers coming back.

Qualifications

• Experience in a store leadership role or ready to step up in retail management.
• Demonstrated drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Strong leadership to motivate and build high-performing teams while fostering a positive culture.
• Ability to prioritise and manage conflicting priorities for timely completion.
• Commitment to safe Work, Health & Safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, mentoring and inspiring your team daily.
• Support your Store Manager in coaching the team to achieve and develop their knowledge and skills.
• Lead from the front by consistently providing an exceptional customer experience.
• Create strong safety mindset, fostering a culture of safety within your team.
• Assist in managing stock effectively, ensuring accuracy and stock integrity processes.
• Assist in visual merchandising (VM) of stock displays to maintain VM standards.
• Demonstrate initiative by keeping up to date on pet care, products, and services.
• Recruit, onboard, and induct high-calibre new team members.
• Create a fun, supportive in-store culture where your team loves coming to work.
