Job summary

Petstock Group is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Australia to support the Store Manager in leading a passionate team and delivering world-class customer service. This role offers opportunities for career progression within our retail operations team and a fun, inclusive culture.

You will mentor the team, focus on sales targets, and ensure safety and stock integrity while delivering exceptional customer experiences across our Petstock stores.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar store leadership role or ready to take that next step up in your retail management career.
• Demonstrated drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Strong leadership with the ability to motivate and build a high-performing teams whilst fostering a positive culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, mentoring and inspiring your team daily.
• Support your Store Manager in coaching the team to achieve and develop their knowledge and skills.
• Lead from the front by consistently providing an exceptional customer experience.
• Create strong safety mindset, committed to fostering a culture of safety within your team.
• Support your Store Manager to manage stock effectively, ensuring accuracy and that the team follows stock integrity processes.
• Assist in managing visual merchandising (VM) of stock displays, ensuring VM standards are consistently maintained.
• Demonstrate initiative by actively keeping your knowledge up to date on pet care, products, and services.
• Recruit, onboard, and induct high-calibre new team members.
• Create a fun, supportive in-store culture where your team loves coming to work every day.
• Proactively support local marketing opportunities and sponsorships
