Job summary

Andaz Gold Coast is seeking a Restaurant Team Leader to guide our restaurant colleagues and deliver thoughtful, memorable dining experiences. You’ll lead front‑of‑house operations, mentor teammates, and ensure smooth service from breakfast to dinner with warmth and confidence.

The role requires hospitality passion, strong communication, and the ability to stay calm under pressure during busy periods, with opportunities to work across mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in a restaurant, bar or hotel leadership role.
• A genuine passion for food, beverage and hospitality.
• A calm, positive presence during busy service periods.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to lead by example.
• A natural ability to connect with guests and colleagues.
• Good organisation, initiative and attention to detail.
• A willingness to work across mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• A current Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate, or the ability to obtain one.
• Must already have current and ongoing working rights for Australia

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations with confidence, care and a strong eye for detail.
• Welcome guests, build genuine connections and create memorable dining experiences.
• Brief and support colleagues before and during service.
• Coordinate table allocation, reservations, service flow and guest requests.
• Maintain high standards of food presentation, beverage service, cleanliness and safety.
• Coach colleagues in product knowledge, service standards and confident guest interactions.
• Respond to feedback with empathy and resolve concerns professionally.
• Work closely with Culinary, Stewarding and other hotel teams to deliver seamless service.
• Support stock control, cash handling, opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with training, performance feedback and the ongoing development of colleagues.
