Australian Red Cross is seeking a Senior Officer – Resilience to build and enable targeted support for communities across Australia, helping them anticipate, respond to and recover from disasters.

The role focuses on developing resources, training and tools to scale community-led resilience and strengthen preparedness nationwide, with hybrid working arrangements and a flexible location.

Formación

• Strong knowledge of disaster resilience and community development principles.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver engaging training, workshops and resources.
• Excellent advocacy and communication skills to influence stakeholders.
• Experience monitoring, evaluating and reporting resilience-building activities.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement resources, training, tools and workshops to enhance disaster resilience nationwide.
• Conduct activities to fortify resilience at individual, household and community levels.
• Encourage broad-based community engagement in resilience-building activities.
• Advocate for humanitarian and psychosocial needs and preparedness actions.
• Foster collaborative relationships across the emergency management sector to enhance initiatives.
