Job summary

IFYS Limited. is seeking Residential Youth Workers to provide daily care for young people in a residential setting in the Bundaberg region. You will deliver supportive care, manage behaviours with a calm approach, and help develop life skills within structured routines.

Role requires a WWC check, a current QLD driver’s licence, two references, and an initial Certificate IV or higher. Shifts vary (day/evening/sleepover), with on-call after-hours support and in-house training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Candidates with transferrable skills from working with vulnerable people are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and therapeutic environment for young people to grow and learn
• Support and manage young people’s complex and challenging behaviours in a calm manner
• Build rapport while maintaining professional boundaries
• Plan individual and group activities aligned with Case Plans
• Train life skills such as cooking, budgeting and personal care
• Complete petty cash, case notes and incident reports timely
• Transport clients to school, work and appointments

Education

Certificate IV or higher in a relevant field
