Job summary

YSAS Youth Support and Advocacy Service in Geelong is seeking a Residential Youth AOD Worker for a flexible pool roster. You will join a multidisciplinary team supporting vulnerable young people around the clock across multiple sites, with duties spanning withdrawal management and primary health care.

The role requires experience with youth, group facilitation, and care planning, plus the ability to engage diverse backgrounds. National checks and Australian work rights are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people with problematic alcohol and drug issues in residential withdrawal settings.
• Ability to facilitate groups and coordinate recreational activities for young people.
• Understanding of care planning and review processes.
• Strong engagement and communication with diverse young people.
• Professional communication with service stakeholders.
• Flexibility to work across multiple residential sites and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist vulnerable young people 24/7 as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Work across YSAS residential sites with day, evening and night shifts.
• Apply clinical skills in assessment and support for withdrawal and primary health needs.
