Job summary

BHP is seeking experienced Fixed Plant Mechanical Fitters to join the Surface Operations team at Olympic Dam on a residential basis in Roxby Downs, SA. You will be considered for roles across refinery, concentrator, smelter and related fixed plant areas.

Live locally in Roxby Downs and work a 7/7 day/night roster, returning home nightly. Applicants should hold a recognised mechanical trade and a C Class licence, with a focus on safe work practices and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Australian recognised mechanical trade qualification.
• C Class Driver Licence is required.
• Commitment to safe systems of work and safety leadership.
• Experience in fixed plant maintenance is highly regarded.
• Experience with 1SAP or similar systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, environment and sustainable development.
• Promote safe work practices and maintain a safe working environment.
• Undertake preventative maintenance inspections and follow up actions.
• Repair and service fixed plant equipment and respond to breakdowns.
• Collaborate to fault find equipment and restore plant availability.
• Maintain 1SAP work management processes including notifications and work orders.
• Contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
