Job summary

Hall & Prior Health & Aged Care Group in Canberra is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead daily operations at our 87-bed Lyneham aged care home, ensuring safe, high-quality care and a strong, patient-centered culture.

You will oversee budgeting, staffing, occupancy, stakeholder engagement, and quality initiatives to support accreditation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Focus on managing daily operations at our 87-bed Canberra aged care home in Lyneham
• Oversight of the budget; optimise revenue and manage costs to achieve organisational targets
• Manage the roster; ensure adequate staffing levels to meet consumers’ needs and care minute requirements
• Maximise occupancy by building valuable connections with external stakeholders
• Lead and develop a high performing clinical and operations team and uphold the established positive workplace culture
• Deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining productive relationships with residents and their families and managing feedback
• Create and implement quality initiatives to support a culture of continuous improvement and achieve accreditation compliance
• Maintain an environment where safe, effective, and high-quality care is delivered to our aged care residents, and their needs are consistently met
