Job summary
Mount Isa Mines seeks a results-focused Jumbo Operator for the George Fisher Mine in Mount Isa. This residential role operates on a 7/7 day/night roster, drilling headings and installing ground support to mine standards while upholding safety and performance culture.
The successful candidate will have a current Australian manual driver’s licence and 4+ years of Jumbo development drilling experience, plus a track record of safe work practices and teamwork.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of Jumbo development drilling experience
- Current Australian manual driver's licence
- Experience with Sandvik Axera 7, DD420 or DD421
- Strong safety record and safe work practices
- Attention to detail and ability to work to design/schedule
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible, adaptable and proactive
- Able to pass pre-employment medical incl. drug/alcohol screening
Responsibilities
- Safely mining to design, on grade, on line and on time
- Demonstrating safety leadership and adhering to site procedures
- Operating equipment with minimal damage and reporting issues
- Washing down equipment and maintaining a clean, safe workspace
- Completing accurate shift reports and clear handovers
- Contributing to a positive team culture through accountability, mentoring and coaching
