Job summary

Mastery Co is seeking an experienced Carpenter for a fixed-term contract role based in Revesby, Sydney, working on an $800,000+ residential extension and renovation. Responsibilities

• Work on tools across residential extension and renovation from demolition to completion
• Execute carpentry work from detailed 3D models and documentation
• Collaborate with Mitch for design and construct guidance
• Maintain high workmanship standards on a quality-focused project
• Build to Passivhaus principles including airtightness detailing
• Keep site records up to date in Wunderbuild

Job description

Mastery Co is seeking an experienced Carpenter for a fixed-term contract role based in Revesby, Sydney, working on an $800,000+ residential extension and renovation. The contract runs for approximately six months, or until project completion. The project is currently in the demolition phase, so an immediate start is ideal. As a Design + Construct firm, Mastery Co produces all the plans, documentation, and 3D models for projects in-house — giving clear, well-organised drawings and cutting lists to work from on site, with the Director Mitch on hand throughout both the design and construction process.

Key responsibilities

• Work on the tools across all stages of a high-quality residential extension and renovation, from demolition through to completion
• Execute carpentry work from detailed 3D models and documentation
• Work closely with Mitch, who is available across both the design and construct side of the project for support and direction
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship on a project where quality and attention to detail matter
• Build to Passivhaus principles, including airtightness detailing with Pro Clima products
• Keep site records up to date in Wunderbuild

About you

• A qualified, experienced Carpenter — or currently studying your Cert IV in Building and Construction, or have just completed it
• Passionate about carpentry and obsessed with renovation — the kind of person who finds themselves scrolling architectural details and carpentry techniques in their downtime
• Always looking for the next upskilling opportunity and keen to keep sharpening your craft
• Reliable, take pride in your work, and comfortable working independently on site
• Must have your own vehicle and own tools
• Sydney-based, able to reliably attend site in Revesby
• Knowledge of Passivhaus principles highly regarded, particularly airtightness and taping systems such as Pro Clima
• Experience with the Wunderbuild system preferred
• Available for an immediate start preferred, given the project is currently in demolition
