Job summary

Global Disability & Community Services in Sydney CBD NSW is seeking a dedicated Residential Care Officer to join our disability support team. Qualifications

• AQF Diploma or higher qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
• Experience in disability or residential care settings.
• Demonstrated person-centred care and support planning.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care and support to residents in supported accommodation.
• Implement individualised support plans and behaviour support strategies.
• Assist with daily living activities and promote independence.
• Maintain accurate progress notes, incident reports and documentation.
• Support residents to access community facilities and participate in activities.
• Communicate effectively with families, carers and health professionals.
