Job summary

MJH Group, part of the NEX Building Group, is seeking a Residential Draftsperson to ensure CAD drawings reflect customer requirements and regulations. This 12-month parental leave cover reports to the Drafting Team Leader and operates within the MJH Drafting team.

You will interpret documents, prepare detailed plans and liaise with multiple stakeholders to deliver accurate construction drawings and compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year producing drawings using ArchiCAD or similar.
• Certificate IV or equivalent in Architectural Drafting.
• Experience in residential construction is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Interpret tender, council and authority documents to create detailed working drawings.
• Prepare draft plans and working drawings with siting, floor plans and elevations.
• Prepare CDC/DA documentation and construction drawings per guidelines.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders including coordinators and permits team.
• Draft construction drawings with reviews and amendments; solve drafting issues.
