Job summary

Adelaide Development Corporation (ADC) seeks an Architectural Designer / Graduate of Architecture to join our in-house Design Studio in Adelaide. With approximately 3–5 years of industry experience, you will contribute to the design, development and documentation of a diverse pipeline of residential projects, including single homes, townhouses and masterplanned communities.

Qualifications

• Approximately 3–5 years' experience within residential architecture, building design or a related environment.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Architecture, Architectural Design or a related discipline.
• Strong residential design capability with an understanding of proportion, planning, materiality and contemporary housing design.
• Experience developing projects from concept design through planning and documentation stages.
• Good understanding of construction documentation, detailing and residential buildability, with a desire to continue developing these skills.
• Strong 3D modelling and visual communication skills.
• Experience with ArchiCAD is highly regarded; applicants with strong experience in comparable BIM/design software and a willingness to learn ArchiCAD are also encouraged to apply.
• Working knowledge of the NCC, Australian Standards and South Australian planning and building approval processes.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with consultants including structural, civil, energy, landscape and other project disciplines.
• Strong attention to detail and an ability to manage competing project priorities.
• Confident communicator who enjoys working collaboratively as part of a small design team and broader development business.
• Australian residential experience is strongly preferred.
