Job summary

RecruitShop is seeking a skilled HVAC/R technician in Queensland to deliver high-quality service, maintenance and installation for a variety of commercial sites. You’ll diagnose faults, perform quality workmanship and provide practical customer solutions.

Ideal candidates have a Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration and current licences (RAC01, QLD Electrical, QBCC Mechanical). You’ll work across commercial HVAC systems with a supportive office team and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, with commercial service experience.
• Current RAC01 Refrigerant Handling Licence and QLD Restricted Electrical Licence.
• Current QBCC Mechanical Services licence (or eligibility to obtain it).
• Current Driver’s Licence, Construction White Card and Australian permanent residency.
• Strong fault-finding, communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• The primary purpose is to deliver high-quality service, maintenance and installation across a diverse range of commercial HVAC and refrigeration work.
• You will diagnose faults, complete quality work and give customers practical solutions.
• Responsibilities include working on Electrical, HVAC and Refrigeration equipment from small domestic scale to large commercial plant.
• Work across split, ducted and package units, ventilation, refrigeration and controls.
• Assist with replacements, fit-outs, upgrades and retrofits, plus some residential work.

About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to deliver high-quality service, maintenance and installation across a diverse range of commercial HVAC and refrigeration work. You will diagnose faults, complete quality work and give customers practical solutions.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Working on Electrical, HVAC and Refrigeration equipment, from small domestic scale to large commercial plant
• Working across split, ducted and package units, ventilation, refrigeration and controls
• Completing replacements, fit-outs, upgrades and retrofits, plus selected residential work
• Assisting with general electrical repairs and maintenance as required
• Working independently on service calls and within the team on larger projects

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, with commercial service experience
• Current RAC01 Refrigerant Handling Licence and QLD Restricted Electrical Licence
• Current QBCC Mechanical Services licence (or eligibility to obtain it)
• Current Driver’s Licence, Construction White Card and Australian permanent residency
• Strong fault-finding, communication and time-management skills
