Job summary

Komatsu Australia is seeking an experienced Resident Field Service Technician to support customers in the South West Slopes region, including Young, Temora, West Wyalong and Forbes. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain Komatsu equipment in the field, build strong customer relationships and ensure uptime with support from a skilled team.

The role offers a Monday–Friday roster (7:30am–4:00pm), a company vehicle, and a weekly resident allowance as part of a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified Diesel Fitter or Mobile Plant Mechanic.
• Experience fault-finding on heavy mobile equipment in mining/construction/earthmoving.
• Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and customer-relationship skills; current MR license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair heavy mobile equipment in the field.
• Perform planned maintenance and breakdown support in the South West Slopes region.
• Complete service reports and liaise with customers on-site.
• Manage workload and coordinate jobs from start to finish.
• Provide high quality customer service and technical support on site.
• Contribute to Komatsu's zero-harm safety culture.
