Job summary

Respect Emerald Avalon QLD is seeking an experienced Social Care Co-ordinator to lead resident-centered social care programs that support wellbeing, foster connection, and enhance quality of life.

You will oversee day-to-day operations of the social care program, ensuring activities are meaningful, inclusive, and tailored to individual needs, in collaboration with the General Manager.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle (or similar) required.
• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Current Driver's Licence.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Strong computer and administrative skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in residential aged care.
• Knowledge of dementia care.
• Experience delivering recreational or complementary therapy programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and improve lifestyle, therapy and recreational programs.
• Lead and support Social Care staff and volunteers.
• Build connections with local community groups, schools and organisations.
• Facilitate resident meetings and encourage participation in program development.
• Maintain documentation, attendance records and program evaluations.
• Manage resources, inventory and social care budgets.
• Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement.
• Promote a vibrant and engaging volunteer program.
