Job summary

Mandurah Community Aged Care is seeking Resident Care & Wellbeing Assistants to join a friendly, focused team delivering compassionate, person-centred care to residents in Mandurah.

We value empathy, strong communication, teamwork and continuous improvement. Requirements include Cert III in Individual Support (Ageing); preferred Cert IV in Lifestyle and Leisure or Diploma in Ageing; valid driver's licence; First Aid/CPR; comfort with technology and engaging residents in lifestyle activities.

Qualifications

• Cert III in Individual Support (Ageing) is the minimum requirement.
• Preferred applicants will have a Certificate IV or Diploma in Lifestyle and Leisure or equivalent.
• Cert IV in Ageing and significant demonstrated Lifestyle experience considered.

About You:

• You must be experiencedin delivering varied lifestyle programs and also comfortable with learning new technology to make difference to our residents' physiological, physical and emotional wellbeing!
• Previous experience in a similar position as a Resident Care & Wellbeing Assistant is desirable
• Previous experience in dementia care is highly desirable and understanding of dementia-related behaviours, communication strategies and relationship-based care will be highly regarded.
• Cert III in Individual Support (Ageing), is a minimum requirement for this role
  Preferred applicants will have a Certificate IV or Diploma in Lifestyle and Leisure or equivalent or Cert IV in Ageing and significant demonstrated Lifestyle experience
• Hold a current driver's licence and be willing to drive the Residence bus as required
• First Aid and CPR Certificates (practical in person training)
