Garvan Institute of Medical Research in Sydney is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join a small, dynamic Service Desk team. It is an onsite role 5 days in the office initially, reporting to the IT Operations Manager and supporting scientists and administrative staff to enable Garvan’s research.

The role involves 1st and 2nd line support, macOS and Windows devices, Office 365, printers and peripherals, and ticketing system workflow in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifikationen

• 2–4 years help desk experience or similar environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with macOS and Windows 11, Office365.

Aufgaben

• Provide high level 1st and 2nd line support to 700+ users.
• IT Bar shifts for walk‑up support during the day.
• Maintain and rebuild laptops following SOPs.
• Support printers, IP telephony, and AV equipment.
• Record and maintain ticketing information in the system.
