Job summary

The Australian National University in Canberra seeks an accomplished researcher for a continuing, contingent funded position within RegNet. The role focuses on regulation and social licence for RadInnovate, guiding HDR students and teaching postgraduate programs.

You will work with RadInnovate investigators and industry partners, spend time in industry placements, and contribute to high-quality, refereed journals while collaborating across the centre.

Qualifications

• PhD in law, regulation or related field with a focus on regulating nuclear materials or emerging technologies.
• Strong teaching ability and willingness to grow skills to provide HDR supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills; ability to work independently.
• Ability to collaborate with industry and government partners.

Responsibilities

• Undertake independent research on RadInnovate codesigned industry projects, focusing on regulation and social licence.
• Co-supervise RadInnovate HDR students and teach in postgraduate programs in regulation and governance.
• Serve as an interface between HDR students and ITTC University and industry partners.
• Spend time in industry as part of student placements and participate in all-centre activities.
