Job summary

The University of Queensland is seeking a Research Fellow in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at the St Lucia campus. This 80% FTE fixed-term role runs for about 4.5 years through May 2031, with a base salary between AUD 119,462 and AUD 141,545 plus 17% super.

You will lead and contribute to a program in hearing health and communication disability, publish results, secure funding, supervise students, and support teaching as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of a PhD in a relevant discipline such as speech pathology, audiology or related field.
• Demonstrated research expertise in communication disability, hearing health and related methods.
• Experience designing and delivering research projects with publications and conference presentations.
• Emerging track record of supervision and mentoring HDR students.

Responsibilities

• Develop an independent or team research program in hearing health and communication disability.
• Publish high-quality outputs and contribute to funding applications.
• Supervise Honours and HDR students and mentor researchers.
• Contribute to teaching activities and engage in service and collaboration.
