Job summary

The University of Queensland invites applications for a fixed-term position in the First Nations Cancer and Wellbeing Research team within the School of Public Health. The role is 0.8 FTE minimum part-time or 1.0 FTE full-time for up to 2 years, based at the Herston Campus, with base salary from AU$85,373 to AU$113,660 plus 17% super.

Ideal candidates will hold a PhD or be near completion, with demonstrated expertise in qualitative research, participatory/co-design approaches, and a proven

Qualifications

• PhD completion or near completion in a relevant discipline (public health, psychology, statistics, or related).
• Demonstrated experience in qualitative research design, recruitment, data collection and analysis.
• Experience in participatory, co-design, or community-engaged approaches.
• Evidence of research outputs (publications, conferences, reports).

Responsibilities

• Conduct qualitative and participatory research activities, including recruitment, interviews, longitudinal data collection, ethics/governance, data management, analysis and interpretation.
• Prepare reports, scholarly publications, conference presentations, dissemination materials, and contribute to grant applications.
