Resources Group in Australia is seeking a Research Director in Quantitative Insights & Strategy to lead complex, high-impact client projects and shape strategic outcomes for major brands.
You'll own sophisticated quantitative work, manage a team from day one, mentor researchers, and build senior client relationships while contributing to proposals, pitches and growth opportunities across the business.
This is a hire with weight to it.
Join one of Australia's standout independent insights consultancies, a national business with a brilliant industry reputation, a seriously smart team and a client list spanning some of the country's biggest brands.
They're known for the kind of research that gets into the guts of a business problem. Complex questions, clever quant, strategic qual, commercial thinking and recommendations that clients can actually do something with.
The work is broad, but always strategic. Think brand, customer, segmentation, innovation, pricing, product, service and experience, often with multiple layers to the problem and plenty of room to question the brief, shape the approach and influence what happens next.
They're looking for someone with that extra layer of experience, confidence and strategic maturity. Someone who can step into complex client problems, lead the thinking, bring others with them and operate as a trusted senior pair of hands across both the work and the team.
Alongside owning sophisticated quant and senior client relationships, you'll have a team of your own from day one.

You'll already be operating at senior level, with a strong grounding in quantitative insights, broad strategic research experience and a proven track record of people management, not simply project leadership. The role combines senior client counsel, commercial responsibility and hands-on development of the team.
They're independent, ambitious and give people real room to think. There's freedom to shape the research around the problem rather than forcing every brief through the same process, plus plenty of opportunity to influence the wider business.
There's also proper investment in development, flexible working, generous performance bonuses, excellent annual leave, strong parental leave and a culture that genuinely puts thought into how people work and grow.
