Seven West Media in Perth is seeking a reporter to join our free PerthNow suburban papers. An ideal entry-level position for a journalism graduate or a position for a more experienced reporter who is plugged in to local issues, this role focuses on coverage of council and the community.

Source and produce stories on local news including council, courts and community issues. Work with the team to produce a suite of newspapers that keep our suburban centres informed.

Qualifications

• A journalism degree or some journalism experience.
• The ability to work alone or as part of a small team.
• Good written and communication skills.
• An eye for detail, a head for news, and a curiosity about the world.
