Job summary

Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd is seeking an experienced Remuneration Specialist to join our Rewards & Benefits team in South Brisbane. You will partner with HR and business leaders to support remuneration programs that promote market competitiveness and internal equity.

Reporting to the Remuneration & Benefits Manager, you will conduct benchmarking, job evaluation and salary structuring, while ensuring governance and compliance across Asia.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in remuneration, compensation and benefits, or reward consulting.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex remuneration data and translate insights into recommendations.
• Experience managing remuneration review cycles, salary benchmarking and market analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with HRIS, payroll and reporting tools (Workday, iChris, PowerBI) highly regarded.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence leaders at all levels.
• Experience with job evaluation and job architecture tools, preferably Korn Ferry.
• Attention to detail, commercial acumen and a passion for equitable reward practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the annual remuneration review process, including salary planning, incentive outcomes, modelling, analysis and reporting.
• Conduct remuneration benchmarking and market pricing to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices.
• Analyse remuneration data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Maintain remuneration frameworks, job evaluation methodologies and salary structures.
• Provide expert remuneration advice to HR and business leaders on compensation-related matters.
• Ensure remuneration practices comply with governance and regulatory obligations.
• Contribute to remuneration projects, policy development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage international talent mobility assignments, supporting expatriates with Malaysia head office.

As a key member of the team, you will partner with HR and business leaders across Hastings Deering and the wider Sime Industrial network to support the delivery of remuneration programs and initiatives that promote market competitiveness, internal equity and business performance.

Reporting to the Remuneration & Benefits Manager, you will provide advice and support across a broad range of reward activities, including remuneration reviews, market benchmarking and job evaluation. This role offers the opportunity to build strong stakeholder relationships while contributing to the ongoing enhancement of Sime Industrial’s reward framework.

What you’ll be doing

• Support the annual remuneration review process, including salary planning, incentive outcomes, modelling, analysis and reporting.

What you’ll need
