Job summary

Dental Health Services Victoria is seeking an experienced Dental Technician to join the RDHM Dental Laboratory team in Melbourne. You will manufacture removable prosthesis appliances including full and partial dentures, overdentures, and perform repairs or adjustments for removable appliances.

The role requires a Diploma of Dental Technology and a minimum of five years’ experience with removable prosthetic appliances, Co/Cr design, surveying, and model duplication.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Dental Technology required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with removable dental prosthetic appliances and related processes such as Co/Cr design, surveying, and model duplication.

Responsibilities

• Construct, modify, and repair removable dental prosthetics from dental impressions.
• Produce dentures, splints, cobalt chrome frameworks, and other prescribed prostheses.
• Support OHV clinicians, laboratory staff, and dental students from UoM and RMIT.
• Create teaching aids including dental casts, articulated models, and surgical splints.
• Assist with laboratory operations while maintaining quality, throughput, and turnaround time standards.
