Job summary

Water Corporation is seeking a Surface Water Operator based at the Kelmscott Depot to operate and optimise critical water treatment systems, ensuring safe and reliable water supply across Western Australia.

The role covers treatment plants, dams and catchments with an after-hours roster to support 24/7 operations. You will monitor processes, perform inspections and coordinate maintenance while upholding safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

WA C Class and HR driving licences required.
Strong problem-solving and the ability to respond to operational issues.
Good communication with contractors, stakeholders and colleagues.
Commitment to safety and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

Operate and optimise water treatment and production processes across sites.
Monitor and adjust treatment processes; respond to operational issues and identify improvements.
Coordinate routine maintenance with contractors and internal teams.
Inspect dam infrastructure including outlets, gates, valves and screens.
Undertake catchment surveillance and protect source water quality.
Participate in the after-hours roster for 24/7 operations.
Contribute to a strong safety culture and wellbeing of people and environment.
