Job summary

Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a Manager – Strategic Initiatives to lead the planning and execution of major infrastructure projects. You will ensure outputs align with government priorities and manage planning, asset strategies, and accommodation outcomes.

You will consult with senior executives, Ministers and external partners, developing plans and systems to deliver designated outcomes while complying with policy and statutory requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in strategic project management and infrastructure planning.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of public sector policies and statutory requirements (e.g., Financial Management Act 2006).

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and delivery of infrastructure projects aligned with Department priorities.
• Develop policies, plans and systems to achieve designated outcomes.
• Liaise with government executives, ministers and external partners.
• Ensure compliance with relevant acts and Treasurer’s Instructions.
