Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a highly talented Standard Cell Characterization Engineer to advance our standard cell library characterization efforts, with a focus on FDSOI technology nodes and cryogenic temperature conditions. You will set up and execute characterization flows, generate Liberty models, debug issues, and ensure milestones are met while collaborating with the design and test teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in standard cell library characterization.
• Experience generating NLDM, CCS, CCSN, LVF Liberty models.
• Strong understanding of PVT characterization.
• Hands-on SPICE simulation and analysis experience.
• Experience with layout-extracted netlists and post-layout characterization.
• Library validation and QA methodologies.
• Proficient in scripting for automation (Python/Perl/Tcl/Shell).
• Understanding of standard cell circuit design, timing, power, noise and variation.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain the standard cell characterization flow.
• Perform standard cell library characterization across required PVT corners.
• Generate Liberty (.lib) files for NLDM, CCS, CCSN, and LVF models.
• Execute SPICE simulations and analyze characterization results.
• Generate extracted netlists from layout and characterize using extracted views.
• Support view generation and characterization flow automation.
• Perform library QA checks, consistency checks and validation.
• Debug characterization, simulation, modeling, and flow-related issues.
• Track deliverables and ensure milestones are met.
• Conduct internal technical reviews and drive issues to closure.
• Provide regular status updates to the client.
