Job summary

Social Discovery Group is seeking a Senior QA Engineer (Web) for a remote, full-time role. You will drive QA across features, review specs, and design thorough test plans while collaborating with Product and engineering teams worldwide.

The role emphasizes cross-browser testing, API validation, and potential automation work. Fluency in Russian and English is required. Competitive benefits and ongoing learning opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

Demonstrated QA methodology and testing processes.
Experience with web tech, client-server concepts, and APIs.
Strong cross-browser and responsive testing skills across modern browsers.
Proficiency with DevTools and debugging proxies.
API testing experience with Postman and REST/GraphQL.
Hands-on with Jira, Allure TestOps, and Git.
Bonus: Playwright, Cypress or Selenium; scripting in JS/TS or Python.

Responsibilities

Drive QA for business features from hand-off to production release.
Review specs, prepare test plans, and create test cases and checklists.
Provide estimates for testing tasks and meet deadlines.
Perform functional, exploratory, regression, UI/UX, cross-browser, and API testing.
Contribute to test automation where applicable.
Collaborate with Product, Front-End, Back-End engineers, and Architects.
Support releases by validating builds and monitoring live issues.
Track QA metrics like defect escape rate and coverage.
