AWMA seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to work remotely on engineered designs aligned with project scopes and production deadlines.

You will apply strong SolidWorks capability and first principles to ensure high-quality, manufacturable products, while supporting the wider Engineering and Design team as the technical authority.

Occasional travel to the head office in Cohuna, Victoria is required, collaborating across disciplines to drive design reviews and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years in mechanical design.
• Advanced SolidWorks modelling and drafting capabilities.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering first principles.
• Ability to deliver complete drawing packages and BOMs.

Responsabilités

• Interpret briefs and client data sheets to size and specify product configurations.
• Apply engineering principles to loads, standards, and failure modes.
• Produce GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and BOMs for review.
