Job summary

Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation – Brisbane QLD is seeking a Remote Pilot for the RPAS program. You will perform remote pilot duties under the Remotely Piloted Aircraft Operations Certificate (ReOC) issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and operate as part of small teams delivering RPAS flights across Queensland.

You will also collect data and imagery, including site and volumetric surveys to support priority business requirements, with travel across the state.

Qualifications

• CASA RPAS certification (ReOC) required.
• Strong planning and risk assessment skills.
• Ability to interpret meteorological data for safe operations.
• Experience with aeronautical charts and flight planning.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pre-flight plans, risk assessments and safety plans.
• Interpret weather data to ensure safe RPAS operations.
• Review aeronautical charts to identify hazards for flight planning.
• Complete pre-flight checks, flight plans and logs.
• Maintain CASA certifications and required reporting.
• Support data capture, site and volumetric surveys as needed.
• Provide quick response to incidents or disasters as required.
