Job summary

Genton, a leading Australian architecture and urban design practice, is seeking an experienced Architect with strong rail project experience to lead design, documentation and delivery across the full project lifecycle. The role is based in Brisbane but will be fully remote to start as the team grows.

You will manage concept design, town planning, documentation, and contract administration while mentoring staff and engaging with councils, government departments and consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architecture (or equivalent 5-year degree) with post-qualification experience.
• Registration as Architect preferred but not essential.
• Strong rail project experience across design, documentation and delivery.
• Excellent Revit skills; working knowledge of AutoCAD and CAD/visualisation tools.
• Solid understanding of materials, construction methods and compliance requirements.
• Strong client-facing skills and ability to build relationships with clients and technical experts.
• Comfortable working autonomously and remotely with good self-management and communication.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and attention to detail.
• Local knowledge and contacts within Brisbane and greater Queensland region.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of project delivery from concept design to documentation and contract administration.
• Supervise quality control and management of resources to meet project commitments.
• Lead engagement with councils, government departments and consultants as required.
• Provide regular, accurate feedback to the team to help manage time and client expectations.
• Apply strong technical knowledge of materials, construction methods and standards to project documentation.
• Work effectively and remotely, staying connected with the Genton team.
