Star Of The Sea Province is a boutique accounting firm based in Sydney, offering standout accounting and taxation services with flexible work arrangements. We seek a part-time experienced bookkeeper / client services assistant to join a growing team and support MYOB/XERO, payroll, IAS/BAS, and client onboarding.

The role is 100% remote with two days per week and a competitive hourly rate of $34–$42 AUD, depending on experience and capability.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge and extensive experience using MYOB & XERO software.
• Certificate 4 in Accounting or Bookkeeping.
• Professional with good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Great attention to detail.
• Driving license essential as client visit may be required.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable – Process supplier invoices, including checking, coding, entering and preparing invoices for payment approval
• Ledger Integrity – Complete bank, credit card and general account reconciliations in MYOB
• Month-End Support – Assist with month-end activities, including processing journals, accruals and balancing ledgers
• Accounts Receivable – Support basic accounts receivable activities as required, including customer invoices and debtor follow-up
• Data & Records – Maintain accurate and confidential finance records
• Process Improvement – Identify opportunities to improve finance systems, workflows, data quality and efficiency
