Job summary

People First Allied Health in Melbourne is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality client-centred care. The role is full-time with a flexible hybrid work model, enabling remote work while collaborating closely with clients and the multidisciplinary team to support independence and improved quality of life.

You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and document progress in electronic medical records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (OT).
• Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• Minimum 1 year experience as an OT, preferably in community or rehab.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build rapport with clients.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records and data management systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive OT assessments to identify clients' abilities, needs and goals.
• Develop and implement personalised treatment plans to improve physical, cognitive and psychosocial functioning.
• Provide hands-on therapy interventions such as activity-based training and home modifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care.
• Document client progress in line with regulatory and organisational requirements.
• Participate in regular team meetings and professional development.
