Job summary

Journey Beyond is seeking an experienced Nature Guide to join Murwangi Safari Camp in Arnhem Land. You will lead land-based 4WD tours, work closely with Yolngu guides and Traditional Owners, and bring the Top End’s flora, fauna and culture to life for guests.

Tours run every second day with time for camp duties in maintenance, logistics, housekeeping and F&B. You’ll operate safely in remote terrain, adapt storytelling to audiences, and honour Yolngu culture at the heart of the Murwangi

Qualifications

• Experience guiding nature-based tours in remote environments.
• Strong knowledge of Australian flora and fauna.
• Understanding of Yolngu culture and working with Traditional Owners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, informative land-based nature experiences near Murwangi Safari Camp.
• Work closely with Yolngu guides and Traditional Owners to complement cultural storytelling with ecological knowledge.
• Create warm and engaging guest interactions and adapt delivery to different audiences.
• Safely operate custom safari vehicles across remote terrain, transporting guests and Yolngu guides.
• Maintain safety, risk awareness and emergency response, while keeping vehicles and equipment clean and ready.
• Support broader camp operations on non-guiding days (maintenance, logistics, housekeeping, F&B).
