Aon is seeking an Underwriter to support its One Underwriting team, focusing on prestige, classic and specialty motor portfolios. You will handle new business, renewals and endorsements, drive timely quotations, and build strong broker relationships from Brisbane.

The role emphasizes adherence to regulations and industry best practices. We value motor industry knowledge, strong computer skills, and the ability to work to deadlines, including in remote settings.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Insurance industry with strong knowledge and interest in motor risks.
• High level of computer literacy: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet.
• Accurate keyboard skills.
• Well-developed communication skills - oral and written.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision, or in a remote environment.
• A well-developed market presence at a profession level.

Responsibilities

• Support the processing of new business, renewals, and endorsements.
• Manage the efficient turnaround of quotations, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations.
• Resolve and own problem solving with brokers and maintain open communication.
• Ensure enquiries and opportunities are answered quickly and effectively.
• Adhere to industry regulations, legal requirements, and company policies.
• Keep up to date with industry best practices by participating in industry forms and groups.
• Debtor management.
• Manage renewal processes for assigned accounts and generate reports.
• Manage inter-office and external referrals.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, insurer partners, brokers and colleagues.
