Job summary

Hooker & Heijden is seeking an Assistant Underwriter to support our motor underwriters in Melbourne. You will service brokers directly, and manage quotes, renewals and endorsements while ensuring accurate policy and broker records.

The role offers a salary of $75k to $85k plus super, with development toward an Underwriter role as the agency grows and a small, supportive underwriting team.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant Underwriter or in underwriting support, servicing brokers.
• Personal lines (home) experience is a plus.

About the Organisation

Our client is an established Melbourne-based underwriting agency, writing personal lines business through brokers on behalf of an insurer partner.

The business is growing and is adding to its underwriting and broker support team.

About the Role

We're recruiting an Assistant Underwriter to support the broker-facing motor underwriters.

You'll service brokers directly and process quotes, renewals and endorsements.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing quotes, renewals and endorsements
• Supporting the underwriters with referrals and documentation
• Maintaining accurate policy and broker records

About You

You'll have experience as an Assistant Underwriter or in underwriting support, servicing brokers.
