Job summary

CSG is seeking a Software Engineer to design, analyze, and code CSG product applications. You will write and debug code, perform release testing, and interface with end-users to define requirements. You will collaborate with analysts and customers to clarify needs and contribute to knowledge bases.

The role includes developing unit tests, deploying to test and production, and mentoring teammates. A strong background in Java, SQL, Linux/macOS, Docker, and modern frameworks is required to thrive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in English in a business environment.
• 3+ years software development experience with modern Java SE (8+).
• Completely at home in a Linux/MacOS/Docker development environment.
• Skills in SQL, PostgreSQL, and/or MyBatis, Apache Kafka, GraphQL, and REST API frameworks.
• Knowledge in Business Process Management and Rules libraries (Camunda, Activiti, Drools, etc.).
• Experience in a development, packaging, and release toolchain (Github, Maven, Kubernetes etc.).

Responsibilities

• Develop software in accordance with the agreed requirements.
• Develop unit tests for the software that meets the low-level design.
• Execute tests, record deficiencies, and remediate as required.
• Develop implementation scripts and deploy software into test and production environments.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to designs and risk discussions.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to knowledge capture systems.
• Conduct training sessions to gain and deliver knowledge.
