Job summary

UGL is seeking an experienced and technically capable HSE Advisor to support major telecommunications infrastructure projects across Australia. You will provide expert HSE guidance to project teams while driving continuous improvement in safety, environmental and compliance performance, with a focus on regional and remote locations and robust emergency preparedness.

This role requires a Diploma in Work Health & Safety with at least 5 years' experience, strong capability across HSE systems, risk

Qualifications

• Diploma in Work Health & Safety with at least 5 years' experience in a high-risk industry.
• Strong capability across HSE systems, compliance, risk management and contractor assurance.
• Experience supporting remote or geographically dispersed workforces, including emergency planning.
• Experience managing environmental risks and controls across construction, infrastructure or telecommunications projects.
• Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and high-risk construction activities, supported by stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain UGL's HSE Management System across national telecommunications projects.
• Develop and review management plans, risk registers, SWMS and contractor management processes.
• Conduct audits, inspections, incident investigations and assurance activities across project sites.
• Support environmental compliance and risk management, including environmental controls for remote and regional work locations.
• Lead emergency preparedness initiatives and partner with project teams to manage safety risks in isolated and remote environments.
