Job summary

The Professional Search Group is seeking an experienced WFM/Payroll Specialist to join our remote team. This role focuses on end-to-end payroll for large enterprise clients, with cross-border coordination and strict compliance.

You will work mornings in AEST, handling high-volume cycles and complex data in a trusted advisory capacity. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in Australian payroll or similar high-demand environments, strong Excel/MS 365 skills, and experience with payroll systems such as

Qualifications

• 5+ years in senior payroll administration for high-volume multi-cycle payrolls.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, M365, and enterprise payroll/timesheet systems.
• Deep knowledge of end-to-end payroll compliance, lodgements and payroll-to-GL reconciliations.
• Ability to distill complex pay structures and communicate payroll guidelines clearly.
• Highly organized, autonomous with early-morning coverage aligned with AEST.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Payroll Processing for multi-cycle payrolls for large clients.
• Time & Attendance verification and compliance with standards.
• Prepare payroll journals, month-end reconciliations, and tax lodgements.
• Respond to payroll enquiries with expert advice and service.
• Optimize payroll processes and systems for efficiency.
• Support broader finance tasks including AP/AR and reconciliations.
• Assist in go-live activities and stakeholder communications.
• Document controls and reporting in line with best practice.
• Advise on payroll risk, compliance, and process improvements.
