Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Computational Biologist with a focus on Genomics to join their fully remote, world-class research team. This role is vital for interpreting complex genomic datasets to unlock new biological insights and drive drug discovery efforts.

You will develop and apply cutting-edge computational pipelines, analyze NGS data, and build predictive models to guide research and therapeutic development, collaborating remotely with scientists across the globe.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computational Biology, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience analyzing next-generation sequencing data and using bioinformatics tools.
• Proficiency in Python or R and familiarity with bioinformatics libraries (e.g., Bioconductor).
• Strong statistical skills and ability to apply methods to genomic data.
• Excellent remote collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large-scale genomic datasets (WGS, exome, RNA-Seq) to extract biological insights.
• Develop pipelines for variant calling, annotation, and differential expression analysis.
• Collaborate with experimental teams to interpret findings and design follow-up experiments.
• Develop predictive models from genomic data to support drug discovery.
