AGRF invites applications for an Advanced Genomics Services (AGS) Scientist to join Melbourne's Innovation & Development team. You will deliver bespoke AGS projects for research and translational clients, combining hands-on lab work with cutting-edge genomic technologies and client engagement.

The role emphasises developing and validating workflows, collaborating across teams, and contributing to service portfolio development while staying at the forefront of genomic innovations.

Qualifications

• Five years minimum in molecular biology with genomics experience.
• Hands-on sample preparation and NGS protocol experience.
• Ability to execute complex, multi-step genomics workflows with precision.

Responsibilities

• Deliver AGS projects for diverse research and translational clients within turnaround times.
• Optimise, validate and implement bespoke genomic workflows for QA/QC standards.
• Perform complex molecular biology and NGS sample preparation protocols with precision.
• Troubleshoot challenges and identify practical solutions for projects.
• Contribute to service enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide scientific guidance to clients during project design and delivery.
