Job summary

Westgold is offering full-time, permanent roles at the Higginsville operation in Norseman. You will support processing and maintenance teams, service remote field equipment, manage fuel, and assist with water/pipeline systems while ensuring safe operations. A strong mechanical background and relevant tickets are essential.

The role includes 8 days on, 6 off, FIFO/DIDO options, and a comprehensive benefits package including a base salary, site and wellbeing allowances, and an STI bonus up to 15%.

Qualifications

• Current C Class Manual Western Australian driver’s licence.
• Experience in gold or similar commodity processing plant.
• Poly welding ticket is desirable.
• Telehandler, IT loader, CN and LF tickets are desirable.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to operate and troubleshoot equipment.
• Familiarity with safe handling of fuel delivery and monitoring equipment.
• Experience with pipelines, pumps and water transfer systems.
• Basic welding techniques for poly pipe.

Responsibilities

• Assist Processing and Maintenance teams in daily operational activities.
• Maintain and service remote field equipment: gensets, pumping systems, lighting towers, compressors.
• Remote fuel management: refuel, record consumption, inspections.
• Maintain fuel levels for uninterrupted operation.
• Clean operational areas around the plant using mobile equipment.
• Monitor water management and pipeline inspections; assist with welding repairs as needed.
• Participate in maintenance planning activities.
• Maintain maintenance history in Pronto; liaise with contractors and stakeholders.
