Job summary

Wave Learning is seeking a full-time Children’s Services Trainer and Assessor to deliver and assess CHC qualifications from our Campbelltown office. You will guide distance learners with remote training, conduct regular Zoom workshops, and provide student support via phone and email.

Site visits across Greater Sydney are required. Ideal candidates hold a Diploma or higher in Education and Care, Cert IV in Training and Assessment, and a current Working with Children Check, plus a valid driver’s

Qualifications

• Be passionate about student focused education.
• Be well-presented and self-motivated.
• Have excellent communication and time management skills, especially with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Hold a Diploma or higher level Education and Care qualification.
• Have a passion for Early Childhood Education, with experience in an approved centre, and understand the demands of the industry.
• Hold Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, working towards or willingness to obtain.
• Demonstrate an ability to engage with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Have a proven ability to support students.
• Have a Current Working with Children Check.
• Have a valid Drivers Licence.
• Have knowledge and compliance with the VET Quality Framework.
• Have a thorough understanding of the CHC training package and industry requirements in relation to Childhood Education and Care.
• Be proficient in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Providing a positive learning environment for students to undertake training and assessment.
• Assisting and guiding students with their learning and assessment materials.
• Regular scheduled zoom sessions to discuss student progress and answer any questions, discuss the student's status with the workplace and answer any employer questions, conduct, mark and record student assessment and provide student support.
• Conducting face to face visits with students, as necessary, within regular business hours, with access to a company vehicle for any required travel during this time.
