Job summary

West Arnhem Regional Council in Jabiru, NT is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator Group Leader to guide educators and deliver high-quality learning for children birth to five in a remote community.

You will lead planning, delivery, and review of programs, supervise staff, and build strong relationships with families and the community.

Eligible for furnished accommodation, relocation support, and generous leave.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in early childhood education; pursuing, if needed.
• Experience with birth-to-five education, including children with additional needs.
• Ability to lead and support other educators.
• Strong communication with children, families and community.
• Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) and safety training.
• Respect for Indigenous culture and remote-community living.

Responsibilities

• Lead educators to deliver stimulating, safe early learning experiences.
• Plan, deliver and review quality programs tailored to each child.
• Supervise staff and support a collaborative team culture.
• Build positive relationships with families and the local community.
• Maintain a welcoming, inclusive centre for all children.
