Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking a Data Integration Engineer to design and deliver scalable data integration solutions that connect systems, platforms, and business functions across government and defence contexts.

You will work with architects, engineers, and analysts to ensure data accessibility, reliability, and quality, supporting data governance and secure data management in cloud environments. The role emphasizes collaboration, testing, and continuous improvement of the data platform.

Qualifications

• Experience in data integration, ETL/ELT development, data engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases, data warehouses, and/or data lakes.
• Experience using cloud platforms and data tools (Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Snowflake, etc.).
• Programming or scripting languages such as Python, SQL, PySpark, Java, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines across enterprise apps, databases, cloud platforms, and data warehouses.
• Develop reusable integration frameworks, transformation logic, and monitoring to improve data quality and efficiency.
• Support new initiatives, data migrations, and platform upgrades with secure and scalable integration solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into practical technical outcomes and support CI/CD practices.
