Job summary

In Marketing We Trust is a technical performance marketing agency that uses an engineering mindset to solve marketing problems and deliver scalable results. We seek a Data Engineer to collect, process, analyse, and visualise data for multiple client projects.

You will build ETL pipelines, create predictive analyses, and deliver BI reports with Tableau, Looker, or Google Data Studio. The role is independent contracting, roughly 16–20 hours weekly, with a global client base and cross-regional

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of statistical analysis and data modelling.
• Have prior experience handling marketing data.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL (and other relevant languages/tools).
• Experience building ETL pipelines and transforming data from multiple sources.
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau / Looker / Google Data Studio.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Nice to Have: Experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
• Nice to Have: GCP certification.
• Nice to Have: Knowledge of big data processing (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
• Nice to Have: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and clean data from various sources.
• Design and implement data models, ETL pipelines, and automation workflows.
• Conduct in-depth data analysis and build predictive models to solve business challenges.
• Develop reports and visualisations using BI tools such as Tableau, Google Data Studio, or Looker.
• Work closely with clients to understand business problems and provide actionable insights.
• Continuously improve internal workflows by automating repetitive tasks.
• Support account expansion efforts by identifying opportunities to provide additional value to clients.
