Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Container Engineer in Australia to join a globally distributed team building a high-performance container platform for cloud-native apps. You will ensure reliability, security, observability, and cost efficiency across multi-tenant Kubernetes infrastructure, combining software engineering, platform architecture, and SRE practices.

You will define SLIs/SLOs, lead ORRs, build automation, and improve deployment, security, and incident response.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in platform engineering, Kubernetes or container platform operations, or production infra.
• Strong experience with multi-tenant Kubernetes or container platforms and on-call rotations.
• Expertise in at least one of: container tooling, Go programming, or SRE fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Define SLIs/SLOs and error budgets for the container platform.
• Lead ORRs for new capabilities and changes with proper observability.
• Own incident response, blameless postmortems, and continuous improvements.
• Build and maintain automation, controllers, and platform APIs.
• Design CI/CD pipelines, rollout processes, and release management.
• Implement security automation and reduce toil via automation.
• Develop automated tests and pipelines for platform releases.
• Evolve the container tech stack and multi-tenant architecture.
• Improve platform efficiency and cost across tenants.
• Enable product teams with reliable runbooks and alerting practices.
